Last year, Chelsea won the Conference League and finished fourth in the Premier League, qualifying for the Champions League. While that may not be enough for their fans, it is still a sign of growth. This season, after an excellent start, the Blues have greatly slowed down, winning only once in the past six games. Due to a poor streak, the Blues dropped to fifth place with 29 points. They are still only three points away from the Champions League spots, but also just three points away from dropping down to 10th place! 

After a 2:1 loss against Aston Villa, coach Enzo Maresca spoke to the media. He said it was a very tough result to take, saying they weren't clinical enough in attack and ultimately paid the price when the Villans turned the game around. However, the coach said they dominated large parts of the game, and he didn't seem too unhappy with the team's performance. 

Bournemouth secured promotion in the 2021/22 season and then constantly improved in the following three seasons, finishing 15th, 12th, and 9th. This season, the Cherries had an incredible start, and it seemed they might get involved in a battle for Europe. After the first nine rounds, the Cherries were in 2nd place! However, since then, they have gone on a nine-game winless streak, which is still active. 

After a 4:1 loss to Brentford, coach Andoni Iraola spoke to the media. He said they "arrived 45 minutes late for a Premier League game", admitting they weren't good in the first half. When asked about Antoine Semenyo and whether the club will be able to keep him during the transfer window, the coach expressed hope but did not sound entirely convincing. According to speculations, both Arsenal and Manchester City are interested in the 25-year-old winger, and that this game could be his last in Bournemouth's shirt.
