Casa Pia AC return to action now winless in four of their last five games after a 2:1 defeat at Moreirense last weekend. Despite taking an early-lead, Javier Pereira´s men were left empty-handed as Bernardo Martins second-half goal condemned the visitors to a fourth defeat fo the season.

Seven games into the season, Pereira´s side sit 14th in the division, just two points above the drop zone. 

A lack of firepower remains a familiar issue for Casa Pia. AC scored just six goals in seven league games this season, while they bagged just one in three home fixtures.

Head coach Pereira has a lengthy list of absentees this week. Yassin Oukili, Ricardo Batista and attacking trio Kelian Wa Saka, Kiki Silva and Claudio Mendes are all ruled out for the home side.

Estoril arrive at the Estádio Municipal de Rio Maior having failed to score in back-to-back Primeira Liga defeats in the past fortnight. After a 2:0 defeat at Gil Vicente, Ian Cathro´s men then slipped to a narrow 1:0 home reversal against Sporting CP. 

A poor start to the season has seen the visitors win just one of their first seven league games, and with just five points picked up, now find themselves inside the relegation zone. 

Like the hosts, Estoril have struggled in front of goal in recent weeks. The visitors failed to score in three of their last four matches.

Cathro´s men will take heart from their H2H record in this fixture. Estoril are unbeaten in nine of ten previous encounters against Estoril. 

The Scottish boss also has several injury issues to deal with on Friday. Ricard Sanchez is likely to miss out after picking up an injury in last week's defeat against Sporting. Tiago Parreira Parente, Jandro Orellana, Xeka and Goncalo Costa are also expected to remain unavailable.
