Cambridge United vs Accrington prediction 19.12.2025 | League Two

Cambridge United come into Friday's League Two encounter having been held to a 1:1 draw at MK Dons last weekend. Sullay Kaikai's third goal of the season secured a valuable away point for the U's.

Neil Harris's side have proven tough to beat in recent weeks, but have struggled to turn draws into victories. Cambridge are unbeaten in their last ten games across all competitions (90 minutes) but six of those games finished deadlocked. 

Placed Ninth in League Two, the U's boast the best defence in the division, with only 18 goals conceded in 20 games played this season. As a consequence of their solid rearguard, all but one of their last seven games finished with fewer than three goals scored.

Head coach Harris has a strong squad available this weekend. Shayne Lavery is the only confirmed absentee for the home side.

Accrington makes the trip to Cledara Abbey Stadium looking to bounce back from a home defeat against Bromley last weekend. 

The 'Owd Reds have been in decent form over the past month or so, pìcking up five wins while remaining unbeaten in nine previous matches before their setback at Wham Stadium.

Despite their improved form, Accrington sit 17th in the division, seven points behind Cambridge, but seven clear of the relegation zone. 

Like the home side, John Doolan's men have been defensively strong in recent weeks. The 'Owd Reds conceded just three goals in their five previous League Two games while each of their four previous fixtures finished with under 2.5 goals scored.

Head coach Doolan has no reported injury issues this weekend. Paddy Madden is expected to spearhead the Accrington attack on Friday.
