Burton vs Bolton prediction 11.10.2025 | League One

Burton barely escaped relegation in the last two seasons, but they didn't improve, so Gary Bowyer's team is again one of the leading candidates to move into League Two. After opening ten league rounds, Burton collected only nine points and will have to do much more to avoid a drop. Bowyer's team is in terrible form as they have won only one of their last six matches. In the previous game, Burton lost 1-0 on the road in the EFL Trophy against Chesterfield. That was another match in which Burton's attacking line failed them. 

Burton's Gary Bowyer slightly rotated his squad in the EFL Trophy game against Chesterfield. 17-year-old Sulyman Krubally made his debut, while Ciaran Gilligan and Nick Akoto returned to the starting lineup for the first time since August. We should expect Bowyer to revert to their usual starting eleven on Saturday against Bolton. 

Burton have some problems with missing players ahead of the game against Bolton. They will be without Jack Hazlehurst, James Jones, and Terence Vancooten, while George Evans and Jack Newall are questionable. 

In the last few seasons, Bolton were close to winning promotion a few times, but they always fell short. Steven Schumacher's team is hardly the best in League One right now, but they are still solid enough to fight for promotion. Bolton are currently two points behind the playoff zone. Schumacher's team played well recently as they won three of the last four matches. In the previous game, they won 2-1 at home against Peterborough.

Bolton's manager, Steven Schumacher, was very pleased with the victory against Peterborough. He said, "As a unit, we haven't given anything away on our goal at all in the second half, and that's really pleasing. We need to keep working on that because that is going to be the foundation if we are going to have any success."

Bolton will be without Victor Adeboyejo, William Forrester, and Jordi Osei-Tutu on Saturday in Burton on Trent. Also, Josh Dacres-Cogley is questionable.
