On Sunday evening, we will have the game between the teams that are playing better than expected. Both sides were expected to be among the top six Eliteserien teams before the season started, but they exceeded all expectations. Viking are by far the best team in the competition, so far, while Brann is the closest to them with nine points fewer. 

Although Brann are still second on the table, they have slightly slowed down in their form, as the team from Bergen won only two of the last five matches. In the previous game, Brann played 1-1 on the road against HamKam. The guests didn't play well in the first half, which ended with Brann losing. However, in the second 45 minutes, Viking completely outplayed the home side and would be undeserved if Brann went home empty-handed. 

Viking are shockingly good this season. The team that won eight Eliteserien titles, but the last came more than thirty years ago, have a good chance to lift another trophy, as they are nine points more than the closest rival, Brann. Viking have to watch Bodo/Glimt closely, too, who are 16 points behind but with four games fewer played. Viking's phenomenal run of 19 games without defeat ended on Wednesday, when Bjarte Lunde Aarsheim's team lost 1-0 on the road in the cup against Sarpsborg.

Both teams have very good defense. Brann allowed four goals in the last three matches, while Viking conceded only two goals in the previous six games. We shouldn't expect more than three goals on Sunday between the league leaders.
