It is hard to imagine the top four Bundesliga teams without Borussia Dortmund. The current campaign could be the 10th in the last 11 seasons in which the team from Signal Iduna Park has finished among the top four in the Bundesliga. Borussia Dortmund are third on the table with seven points fewer than the league leader, Bayern Munich. 

Borussia Dortmund played well before the international break, losing only one of their last six matches across all competitions. In the most recent outing, they played 1-1 on the road against Hamburg SV. The guests were close to another victory, but the home side scored deep in the second half's stoppage time and left Borussia with only one point. 

Although Borussia Dortmund are one of the top four teams in the Bundesliga, there are some reports in the German media that the head coach is under pressure. According to the news, Nico Schlotterbeck will not extend his contract with Borussia due to Kovac's coaching style. However, the club's director for sport, Lars Ricken, announced has dismissed all the reports. 

Borussia Dortmund could have the whole squad available for the upcoming derby against Stuttgart. Niklas Sule is the only one who could skip the game on Saturday. 

Last season, Stuttgart were a mid-table team, but they have returned among the best Bundesliga teams this season. Like Borussia Dortmund, Sebastian Hoeness' team is seven points behind Bayern Munich. Stuttgart have won four of the last five matches. In the previous game, they won 3-2 at home against Augsburg. The home side wasn't at their best in that match, but they still found a way to get all three points.

Stuttgart's forward Tiago Tomas explained why the club is successful this season. He said, "We don't have any egos in the team. We all fight together to achieve the same goals. Solidarity is one of our main values at VfB."

Stuttgart have significantly more injuries than Borussia Dortmund. They will be without Ermedin Demirovic, Justin Diehl, Luca Jaquez, Yannick Keitel, and Silas on Saturday at Signal Iduna Park.
