Arsenal are still searching for their 14th PL title. In the last three years, the Gunners finished second, twice behind Manchester City and once (last season) behind Liverpool. During the transfer window, they did very well and further improved the squad, which should improve their chances of finally winning the title.

This season, the Gunners opened the Premier League well, winning nine points in the first four games. Their only loss was against Liverpool, which undoubtedly hurt them, but it was a close match on the road. 

Besides a good start in the PL, the Gunners won 2:0 in the Champions League opener against Athletic Bilbao. After that win, coach Arteta was really happy, saying it was an incredible place to come and play, and the atmosphere was one of the best he had ever seen. "We knew it was going to be very difficult, so we had to earn the right to win the game," the coach added. 

Manchester City are coming off a disappointing campaign, at least by their own high standards. They ultimately finished third, but their performances throughout the season fell well below expectations. This year hasn't started much better. While it's not fair to call them bad, they have been inconsistent. After four rounds, the Citizens have two wins and two losses, leaving them in eighth place in the Premier League.

In the last game, the Citizens secured a 2:0 win over Napoli in the Champions League. Still, we must take that win with a pinch of salt as Napoli received an early red card. After the match, coach Pep Guardiola spoke to the media. He was very pleased because he knew how good Napoli is under Conte. "The Italian teams with 10 men can defend every block. How aggressive they are, I faced that many times in my career. We are really pleased," the coach added.
