Alaves vs Celta Vigo prediction 22.11.2025 | La Liga

Last season, Alaves ended with only two points above the relegation zone. Eduardo Coudet's team started the 2025/26 campaign well, but a few previous games suggested that the Alaves could have problems again. Coudet's team won only three of the last nine matches across all competitions. In the most recent outing, Alaves lost 1-0 on the road against Girona. The guests probably deserved more in that match, as they had significantly higher xG stats (1.84 to 0.85), but a lack of efficiency cost Alaves points. 

Alaves' major issue is scoring. They are the third-worst attacking team, having scored 11 goals in 12 La Liga rounds. Interestingly, nine of the 11 goals Alaves scored were at the home stadium. 

Alaves could have almost the whole squad available for the upcoming game against Celta Vigo. Suspended Facundo Garces should be the only missing player. 

Last season was one of the best in Celta Vigo's recent history, as they finished seventh. The team entered the current campaign with high expectations, but didn't play well in the opening rounds. However, it seems that Celta is finding their pace in the previous weeks. Claudio Giraldez's team has won five of the last six matches in all competitions. In the previous game, they lost 4-2 at home against Barcelona. The guests were significantly better side and it was never a question which team would take points from Estadio de Balaidos.

Celta Vigo have some problems with injuries. Hugo Alvarez, Carlos Dominguez, Javi Rueda, and Willot Swedberg are all questionable for the upcoming match in Vitoria-Gasteiz. It seems that Swedberg is the closest to returning in this match, but everything will be much clearer closer to the kickoff.
