Al Okhdood are playing their third consecutive season in the Saudi Arabian top-flight division. In the last two, they somehow managed to survive, but that doesn't seem likely this year. After 21 rounds, they are in 17th place with 10 points. Yes, the safe zone is only five points away, but their current form is definitely worrying, and those five points seem very distant. 

The club even tried to shift the negative momentum by appointing Marius Șumudică as a new coach in early January. Unfortunately, that change did not do much. After a 2:1 loss to Al Hazem in the previous match, coach Șumudică spoke to the media. He was very critical of his team's performance, saying they did not deserve anything from the game. The coach added that the players had a poor attitude and should play with much more urgency.

Al-Qadsiah are playing another great season. After finishing 4th in the previous season, they are doing an even better job this year, averaging around 0.24 points per game more. At the moment, after 21 rounds, Al-Qadsiah are in 4th place, only three points behind the desired 3rd place, which qualifies for the AFC Champions League. They are even six points away from the top spot! However, looking at their squad, this great season shouldn't be such a big surprise. 

After a 1:0 win over Nom SC, coach Brendan Rodgers spoke to the media. He said it was a positive performance and an important victory. The coach added that it wasn't the easiest of wins this season, but was satisfied with the team's resilience and effort.
