Only three Grands Prix are left in the 2025 Formula One season, and the title race has narrowed to a trio of familiar names. Lando Norris leads the standings, with his teammate Oscar Piastri only 24 points away. Max Verstappen, however, is coming third in this year's title race. His chances to finish first are razor-thin, but still very much alive. Below is our breakdown of the upcoming GPs and drivers' chances to win the World Championship.

With Las Vegas, Qatar and Abu Dhabi offering three very different challenges, the tension rises. Track characteristics, tyre behaviour and qualifying form will play decisive roles in the final three GPs, where 25 points are awarded to the winner of each race.
Las Vegas is a tricky weekend for everyone. The track stays cold, the grip changes constantly. The street layout demands strong braking stability and good traction. If you miss the mark, you'll be sliding for half the lap. McLaren tends to look comfortable around this type of circuit. However, Verstappen has also given top performances in these conditions. Red Bull's low-drag setup should let him fly down the straights, and the car is generally stable enough in the slower corners.
Qatar is always a race that tests patience. Lusail can be tough on tyres, and the night conditions often make warm-up a real headache. Because of the long, fast corners, drivers need to manage their tyres carefully, without pushing too hard. Red Bull usually has the edge here thanks to their power, but McLaren should be close behind. It could easily turn into a three-way fight at the front. Norris has become stronger in sprint weekends and on high-wear tracks, but he'll need a calm, clean round to stay in control of the championship.
Abu Dhabi often delivers a straightforward race, with grip improving as the evening progresses and strategy leaving little room for surprises. Max won four of the previous five races in Yas Marina, and the pole-sitter has won in Abu Dhabi for ten years straight. If his chances for the title are still alive, he can become a real threat. McLaren drivers will feel confident here, and Piastri looks strong in stable, high-grip conditions. However, his bounce back most likely won't be enough to overtake the lead from his teammate. For Norris, this will be the last push for the title, and he'll be coming for the win.
Norris, Piastri and Verstappen are the only three who can win the Championship this year, and each has a different route to the crown. Their ability to manage under high pressure will decide how the season ends. Here's a look at the trio still fighting for the ultimate prize.

Norris is armed with a points buffer and the strongest overall form of the three contenders. He opened the season with a win in Australia and has added several more triumphs since. Now he's on the edge of a ten-win campaign. McLaren's dominance has helped, too. With 14 victories in 21 races, the team has given him a car he can trust under pressure. If Norris avoids costly mistakes and keeps scoring solid points, he will become the champion this season.
Piastri still has the speed to fight for the title, with seven wins behind his back this season. However, he hasn't reached the podium in the last five rounds. It's a surprising dip, considering how sharp he looked on street tracks earlier in the year. Piastri needs a clean race. The gap isn't impossible to close, but he can't afford to lose any ground. If he finds his rhythm again, he remains a very real threat heading into the last rounds.
Verstappen is the outsider, but not completely out of the picture. The gap to Norris is large, and he needs almost everything to fall his way to stay in the fight. He had a slow start to the season, but picked up the pace later on, with strong wins in Italy, Azerbaijan and the USA. He could keep alive the possibility of matching Schumacher's record of five consecutive titles, though the odds are undeniably slim. Verstappen's chances now depend on how McLaren will perform in the last three races.
Everything points toward Norris winning his first World Championship. Backed by McLaren, he's heading into the final three GPs in great form. No doubt that Piastri and Verstappen will try to keep the pressure on, but Norris has enough room to manage whatever comes his way. Still, the upcoming Grands Prix will keep the excitement, and it will be very fun to watch. We at MightyTips back Lando Norris to lift the F1 crown.
