PDC World Darts Championship 2026 predictions and preview
The 2026 PDC World Championship started on Thursday in Ally Pally, and what can be better than betting on darts on Friday’s evening? Our Bet of the Day involves a match between Damon Heta and Steve Lennon.
Come for the nine-darter, stay for the celebration! 😍
Damon Heta etched his name into the history books with a magical nine-darter at last year's World Darts Championship!

The 16th seed Damon Heta had a decent season, starting with a quarterfinal at the World Masters in January. He reached the final of the European Darts Open in June, while also winning two PDC Players Championship events. The Australian, a seasoned professional, averaged 94.81 in 2025, and reaching the Last 16 in 2024 is his best result at the World Championship.
Lennon is in 76th place in the PDC rankings, and his season was poor to say the least. In fact, his best result is fourth round in one of the PDC Players Championship events. The Irishman reached the Last 32 round at Ally Pally once, in 2022, and he missed the last World Championship completely.
With all that in mind, we just can't imagine Lennon going through to the second round. Moreover, even winning a set will be a good result for him. Heta -1.5 sets at 1.83 looks gold, and we sincerely hope for another 9-darter and crazy scenes after, just like we witnessed a year ago.
