ZED FC come into Tuesday's EPL contest after a frustrating 0:0 stalemate at Ghazl El Mahalla FC on Friday. Despite having the better of the opportunities, Mohamed Ali Abu El Yazid Shawky's side were forced to settle for a point on their travels.

A tough side to beat, ZED are now unbeaten in all but one of their last ten games played across all competitions since December. Shawky's side now sit seventh in the division, nine points behind second-placed Zamalek. 

Low-scoring outcomes have been frequent, with the hosts seeing under 2.5 goals scored in 11 of 12 previous fixtures. 

Head coach Shawky has no new injury issues this week. Ahmed Sayed and Mohamed Ashraf remain long-term absentees.

Zamalek SC come into Tuesday's EPL contest with plenty of confidence after a well-deserved 2:0 win against Haras El Hodoud last Friday. Late goals from Ahmed Fatouh and Naser Mansi ensured another victory for the 14-time EPL champions. 

The visitors have been in excellent form domestically, picking up victories in each of their last five league fixtures. Mu'tamed Gamal's side have closed the gap on league leaders Ceramica Cleopatra to just one point, with the benefit of a game in hand. 

A strong defence has resulted in several low-scoring outcomes this season. Zamalek kept clean sheets in four of their last six domestic matches. Five of their last seven games (excluding continental fixtures) also finished with fewer than three goals scored. 

Past encounters between these sides suggest we could see another low-scoring outcome on Tuesday. Five of seven previous meetings between these sides finished with under 2.5 goals scored. 

Head coach Gamal has a strong squad available this week. Ahmed Hossam is the only confirmed absentee for the in-form visitors.
