Wycombe turn their focus to EFL Trophy business on Tuesday looking to bounce back from a 1:0 defeat against Stevenage on Saturday. Chem Campbell's first-half goal extended the hosts winless start to the League One season.

A dismal opening month to the new campaign has seen Mike Dodds side pick up just two points from their first six league fixtures, leaving them inside the relegation zone, albeit at this early juncture of the season.

The hosts poor form extends back to the end of last season, with no wins picked up from their last 11 league fixtures. Dodds's men also needed penalties to see-off lower league opponents Bromley in their most recent EFL Trophy tie.

A low-scoring cup clash seems likely on Tuesday. Under 2.5 goals has occurred in five of Wycombe's last six games, while the visitors have seen a similar outcome in six of their last seven games played this season. 

Head coach Dodds could freshen up his selection this week. George Abbott, Fred Onyedinma and Ewan Henderson are among those who could earn a recall to the first XI.

Colchester makes the trip to Adams Park having picked up a point in their most recent runout at Barnet on Saturday. Daniele Collinge's goal on the stroke of full-time denied the U's a first win in three matches.

Like the hosts, Colchester have found wins difficult to come by in recent months. Danny Cowley's men failed to win ten of their last 11 competitive fixtures since mid-April. 

Despite their recent struggles, the U's have proven tough to beat on their travels, remaining unbeaten in five of their last six competitive away fixtures.

Still, neither side is in great form, and we could see this fixture deadlocked after 90 minutes. Colchester have drawn five of their last nine matches, while Wycombe were held in three of their five most recent fixtures. 

Head coach Cowley reported no new injury issues after Saturday's draw at Barnet.
