West Brom’s Championship campaign has been characterised by inconsistent results and mixed form, reflected in recent results that include defeats and wins across their latest fixtures. Their most recent match saw a 1-0 loss at Hull City, extending a pattern of fluctuating results in December. Their run up to the festive period has not been the most successful - Ryan Mason’s men have suffered three defeats from a possible four since early December.

That being said, they have not done much better so far during the month of December either, failing to win the three games prior to their win over Middlesbrough. 

Their campaign totals include around 30 goals scored, underlining a slightly higher goals-per-game output than West Brom, and reflecting a forward line capable of finding the net regularly. Key attacking contributors such as Emil Riis Jakobsen and creative midfielder Scott Twine have been central to Bristol City’s chance creation and goal involvement. 

However, Bristol City’s injury list appears lengthier: midfielders Jason Knight, Max Bird, defender Luke McNally, Joe Williams, and others are potentially sidelined, which could disrupt the Robins’ tactical balance and limit options off the bench.
