VPS will be looking to end their two match winless streak at this ground when they play host to Haka on Wednesday afternoon.

Wins have been few and far between for the hosts in recent weeks, both in the Finnish top flight and in the Suomen Cup. The Stripes boast only one win from their last five matches, a run that includes two defeats and two draws. However, head coach Jussi Nuorela will be encouraged by the fact that none of those defeats occurred at home and his team won the last two matches against Haka.

The visitors are also currently struggling to secure victories, with Andy Smith’s team having failed to win any of their last four games in all competitions. One of those matches was on Saturday, when they hosted Ilves and conceded four goals without scoring any themselves. The White and Blacks remained in the bottom four following that defeat but they have one game in hand.

Haka have struggled defensively recently, failing to keep a clean sheet in each of their last six games, though they failed to score in only one of those matches. Five of those games produced three or more goals and I fancy Wednesday's game to end similarly.

Matchups between VPS and Haka are also historically very entertaining. Two of the last three matches ended with exactly five goals while none of the last eight produced fewer than three goals.
