- Kickoff: 17:00 UK / 18:00 CEST
- Venue: Romssa Arena (Tromsø)
On Thursday afternoon, two Eliteserien teams, Tromso and KFUM Oslo, will face off in the NM Cup 1/16 Finals game at Romssa Arena in Tromsø.
Tromso came to this season after a terrible one last year when they finished 13th and avoided the relegation playout only due to a better goal difference than 14th-placed Haugesund. Due to a football calendar different from most European countries, the season in Norway has just begun. Unfortunately, Tromso haven't started it well, considering they are in 12th place with only four points in five matches. Pretty much their only good games were in the Cup against lower-tier teams, Hamna and Skjervoy.
KFUM Oslo managed to secure promotion to Eliteserien in 2023 and had a solid following year as they finished eighth. This season, just like their next Cup opponent, KFUM Oslo also started poorly and are in 13th with four points in five rounds. This season, just like the last, KFUM Oslo are only looking to survive. Still, judging from the first several games, that will not be an easy task by any means. In the Cup, KFUM Oslo had an easy schedule, winning against two Division 3 teams, Grei and Ready.
Tromso vs KFUM Oslo pick: Over 2.5 goals
So far, both teams have been super inconsistent in terms of results, and with so few games in the season, it is hard to predict what we will see from these teams. However, mostly due to poor defense from both sides, we mostly saw high-scoring games. That is especially the case with KFUM Oslo, which went over 2.5 goals line in six of the last seven matches - 86%!
Additionally, in the Cup, combined, these teams went over 2.5 goals in three of four matches with 5.0 goals per game.
In the previous h2h game at Tromso, we saw a 2:1 win for KFUM Oslo. Considering all the above, but especially both team's terrible defensive performances and KFUM's constant high-scoring games, we believe we should see a high-scoring game, most likely with both teams scoring.

He said the first half against Sandefjord was terrible and that he would "find something else to do" if they continue to play like they did in the previous match. The coach also added that a poor start to the season is primarily his responsibility.
