Telstar’s form has taken a downward trajectory in recent weeks, leaving both players and fans eager for greater consistency as they enter this knockout stage. Anthony Correia’s men appear to have forgotten what victory tastes like, having failed to win any of their last five Eredivisie outings, losing four of those matches. Overall, Telstar have recorded just one league win since the first week of October.

Their home form has been scarcely better, with only a single victory in 11 matches at the BUKO Stadion. As such, their only real glimmer of hope this season has come in the cup competitions, where they have benefitted from favourable draws against lower-division opposition. Forward Milan Smit (six goals) and midfielder Mathis Suray (eight goals) have been the most prolific duo for Go Ahead Eagles this season.
