After promotion from the National League North in the 2023/24 season, Tamworth managed easily to survive last year, finishing 10th. This season, the Lambs are once again in a comfortable position to secure a mid-table team. After 39 rounds, they are in 12th place, but without a real chance of reaching the Playoffs or dropping down to the danger zone. Although there was a brief opportunity to push for the playoffs, a run of four defeats in their last five matches has effectively ended those hopes.

The main reason the Greens aren't higher in the league table is their pretty poor road record. Now, the match against out-of-form Tamworth is an ideal chance to improve their poor away record.

After a 2:0 over Wealdstone, coach Robbie Savage spoke to the media. He was really happy with the win and was especially proud of the clean sheet. The coach added that the atmosphere is brilliant, and it was a joy to see them deliver such a performance.
