Sporting Charleroi will be looking to register three consecutive wins for the first time this season when they play host to Westerlo on Friday evening.

With just three games remaining in the season, Charleroi are four points clear of visitors Westerlo in the race for Conference League qualification, and both teams go into this encounter on the back of important wins.

The hosts visited Standard last weekend hoping to make it two wins in a row after beating Dender 4:1 the week before. Rik De Mil's side got the result they needed thanks to a second-half strike from Nikola Štulić and also kept a clean sheet for the first time in three games.

Westerlo, meanwhile, have not lost a game since 30 March. After drawing 2-2 with Mechelen in their last outing, the visitors were desperate to get back to winning ways when they hosted Dender last Friday. Timmy Simons' side came from a goal down to win 4:2 and stretch their unbeaten run to six games.

Charleroi scored only one goal in their last game away at Standard but at home the Zebras can score two, three or even four on their day. They scored seven goals in their last two games alone and both encounters ended with over 2.5 goals.

Westerlo have also had little or no problems offensively in recent weeks, with the visitors finding the back of the net two or more times in all but one of their last five matches. Each of the last three ended with 4+ goals and I don’t think the outcome of Friday’s game will be different.
