Sonderjyske vs Randers FC prediction 12.09.2025 | Superliga

Sonderjyske secured a return to the Superliga in 2023/24 and had a rough following season, finishing 9th (out of 12 spots). Still, they haven't had many problems securing survival, as they finished ten points above the danger zone. This year, the team from Haderslev is doing well, as they sit in fifth place with ten points. 

After a 10:0 win over lower-league Raklev, coach Thomas Nörgaard spoke to the media. He was really happy with the win and said they were glad to move on in the competition. The coach also said it was an incredibly charming place to visit, one that brought them back to the memories of how it felt when they first began their football careers.

Randers FC are playing their 14th consecutive season in Superliga, where they were mostly been in the upper half of the league's table (Championship Group). Last year, they finished fourth and played in the Conference League Playoff, but eventually failed to reach European Qualifiers after losing to Silkeborg. 

This year, however, "the Horses" opened the season well, but then lost four straight and are in 10th place with seven points in seven rounds. That is well below the expectations for a team that should be in the Championship group by the end of the season. Yet, despite that poor four-game stretch, they are only three points away from the desired sixth place.

In the previous game against FC Copenhagen, central defender Daniel Hoegh suffered an injury and had to leave the field after 28 minutes. The 34-year-old defender has been one of their best defenders, starting in every single match this season. His absence could be a massive factor in this match.
