Real Sociedad B managed to secure promotion to La Liga 2 last year in their third consecutive season in the third tier of Spanish football. Their only goal is to avoid relegation, and for now, that is going according to plan. Yes, they lost two in a row, but are still in 15th place, a comfortable seven points away from the danger zone. With eight rounds to go, we can safely say they aren't out of the woods yet, but are in a good position to survive. 

Midfielder Ibai Aguirre received his fifth yellow card in the previous match and will be suspended. Another big absence is that of Job Ochieng, who will be unavailable as he is on international duty with Kenya. Moreover, Ekain Orobengoa and Alex Lebarbier should remain sidelined with their injuries. 

Eibar suffered relegation from La Liga in the 2020/21 season and failed to return in the following seasons despite being among the candidates for promotion. Last year, they missed the playoffs for the first time, and it seemed they would miss it again. However, in the last part of the season, they did great and are only getting better as the season progresses. At the moment, they are in 8th place with 48 points from 32 rounds, just three points away from the playoffs. 

After a 3:1 win over Las Palmas, coach Beñat San José spoke to the media. He was satisfied with a win and keeping themselves in the "fight" for the playoffs. However, he emphasized the importance of staying grounded and taking one game at a time. 

Meanwhile, the team shouldn't have new injuries, but Juan Bernat, Marco Moreno, and Toni Villa should remain sidelined with their injuries.
