The MetLife Stadium is the venue for a FIFA Club World Cup quarter-final contest this weekend as La Liga giants Real Madrid takes on Bundesliga opponents Borussia Dortmund.

Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund come together for what promises to be a hugely competitive FIFA Club World Cup quarter-final encounter on Saturday evening.

Dortmund return to action after securing their place in the final eight with a hard-fought 2:1 win against Mexicans Monterrey earlier this week. Another brace from Guinean hitman Serhou Guirassy ensured a ninth win in ten matches for the in-form German side. 

Niko Kovacs men have shown plenty of attacking quality during an impressive run of form in the past couple of months. BVB scored 29 in their last 11 games, while they failed to score in just one of those fixtures. 

Real Madrid secured their place in this weekend´s quarter-final contest with a well-deserved 1:0 win against Juventus in the round of sixteen. Gonzalo Garcia´s third goal of the competition secured Los Merengues spot in the final eight. 

Still finding their feet under new boss Xabi Alonso, Real can now expect a stiff test against a Dortmund side in excellent form in the past two months. 

Real claimed a remarkable 5:2 comeback victory when these sides met in the Champions League last year, and another entertaining match seems likely, even if the tempo of this fixture is unlikely to match that of last year´s encounter at the Bernabeu. 

Goals can usually be expected when Real Madrid are involved. BTTS occurred in six of their last ten games, while all but four of their last 47 victories saw a minimum of two goals scored. 

An entertaining contest with BTTS and a minimum of over 2.5 goals scored seems likely, and I'm putting my stake on both outcomes this weekend.
