Real Betis vs Sevilla prediction 01.03.2026 | La Liga

Real Betis finished between 5th and 7th place in the past five seasons and are once again around their usual place. They had some ups and downs over the course of the season, but are now in superb form, collecting ten points in the past four La Liga games. They are in 5th place with 42 points from 25 rounds. However, during that La Liga stretch, Heliopolitans were eliminated from the cup after a 5:0 loss to Atletico Madrid. Still, they can undoubtedly be satisfied with how this season is going, especially if we add a great Europa League campaign thus far.

In the previous game against Rayo Vallecano, Aitor Ruibal suffered a muscle injury and had to leave the field after 69 minutes. However, according to credible sources, the injury isn't serious and should be available. On the other hand, Giovani Lo Celso, Isco, and Sofyan Amrabat should remain sidelined with their injuries. 

Central defender Valentin Gomez received his fifth yellow card in the previous game and will serve his one-game suspension. He has been amazing this season, and his absence could be a factor.

Sevilla's results steadily declined over the past few seasons, going from a top-four team to a relegation contender. This season, they've struggled again and looked like a team that could slip into the danger zone. To be fair, they improved recently, losing only once in the last six matches. Los Nervionenses moved up to 12th place, but that 12th place looks a lot better than it actually is, considering they won only 29 points in 25 rounds and are just five points away from the relegation zone. 

Tanguy Nianzou, Joan Jordan, and coach Matias Almeyda will serve their suspensions. The coach was handed a seven-game ban following his red card in the Alaves game. Interestingly, in the first game without their coach on the bench, Sevilla won 1:0 against Getafe.

Meanwhile, Castrin, Marcao, Oso, and Ruben Vargas will all remain sidelined with their injuries.
