Randers rode high last season, finishing fourth in the regular phase and defending the position through the championship round, so expectations were understandably raised over the summer.  

Reality has been harsher, and the drop into the bottom three has left supporters unsure of what to expect next. Rasmus Bertelsen’s squad went into the November break without a win in five outings, losing three of those and failing to score in four matches, which tells you where the real problem lies.

Furthermore, the Hourses have not beaten OB at home in the last three attempts, so confidence will not exactly be overflowing in AutoC Park. Right winger Mathias Greve remains sidelined with a foot injury, although the squad has avoided suspensions.

OB earned promotion by winning the First Division last season, and although the step up always tests a team’s limits, an 8th-place position with the top five still within reach feels like a decent return so far.

Zorniger’s group have grown tougher to beat, losing just once in their last six league matches while picking up three away wins in that run. That kind of form on the road often changes how a team approaches tricky fixtures, and OB will not mind the short trip to Randers one bit.

Midfielder Jakob Bonde continues his long recovery from a cruciate ligament injury and will not feature on Monday.
