PSG have another excellent season. They are at the top of the Ligue 1 standings with two points more than Lens, while in the Champions League, Luis Enrique's team is considered one of the main candidates for the trophy. PSG won four of the last five matches across all competitions. In the most recent outing, they won 3-0 at home against Metz. The hosts completely outplayed the opponents, so PSG's victory never came into question. 

PSG could lose Luis Enrique this summer. According to reports, Manchester United representatives met with the coach's agent. The English side sees the Spaniard as the primary candidate and are trying to persuade Luis Enrique not to extend his current deal with PSG. 

PSG's Desire Doue came on at the start of the second half in the previous Ligue 1 round due to injury, but after the game, the player said he was fine and that the substitution was only a precaution. Fabian Ruiz, Quentin Ndjantou, Senny Mayulu, and Ousmane Dembele remained sidelined and will not play on Wednesday night. 

Monaco expected a better 2025/26 season. They are only eighth in Ligue 1, but with six points fewer than the Champions League positions. The bigger problem is inconsistent form, as Sebastien Pocognoli's team won only two of the last five matches. In the previous game, Monaco won 3-2 on the road against Lens. The teams were pretty even and the match could go either way, but eventually, the guests' better efficiency was enough for all three points.

After a victory in Lens, Monaco's head coach, Sebastien Pocognoli, commented the upcoming clash at Parc des Princes. He said, "Wednesday will be a different context, in the Champions League. We will go to the reigning European champions with a one-goal deficit, so the mission is difficult, but not impossible."

Monaco have big problems with missing players. Andriy Golovin will serve a suspension, while Maghnes Akliouche, Pape Cabral, Eric Dier, Lukas Hradecky, Christian Mawissa, Takumi Minamino, Kassoum Ouattara, Paul Pogba, and Mohamed Salisu will skip the upcoming game due to injuries.
