Port Vale face a major FA Cup comedown after a 7-0 thrashing at Chelsea in their quarter-final clash at Stamford Bridge. Three goals down at the break, with four more conceded in the second half, ensured a miserable end to an otherwise thrilling FA Cup run.

Jon Brady’s side have struggled to match their cup exploits in League One, and relegation to League Two remains a near cert. Port Vale sit bottom of the division, 15 points short of safety, albeit with a couple of games in hand on their relegation rivals.

Recent form has been dismal, with five defeats and just one win recorded in their last seven matches. Vale have conceded 15 goals while losing four of their last five games, scoring just three times across those seven fixtures.

Head coach Brady has a few injury absences. Ben Heneghan, George Byres and Jayden Stockley are expected to remain sidelined.

Rotherham come into Tuesday's League One contest after picking up a point in a goalless draw against Stevenage last weekend. 

Like the home side, the R’s have struggled to find much form in recent weeks, with no wins in any of their last six matches, and just one in their last 11 fixtures.

Nine points short of safety with just seven games to play, the visitors have won only three of 19 away matches this season. Eleven points collected on the road ranks as the worst away record in the division. 

A lack of firepower has been the biggest issue for Lee Clark’s side. Rotherham scored just three goals in their last eight matches.

Head coach Clark has three confirmed absentees this weekend. Marvin Kaleta has been ruled out for the remainder of the season, while Joe Powell and Cameron Dawson are also unavailable for the visitors.
