Pisa secured a historic promotion last season by finishing second in Serie B, behind Sassuolo. They needed 34 seasons to return to the Italian top flight, and now the goal is simply to survive. However, that isn't going well as they are in 19th place with 14 points from 22 matches - four points away from the safe zone. To be fair, they aren't playing as poorly as the stats represent, but it seems they simply lack the talent upfront to convert the chances they create. At the moment, the bookies offer odds for their relegation around 1.25, which says a lot about their chances of survival.

After a massive 6:2 loss to Inter, coach Alberto Gilardino spoke to the media. He said it was a bitter night for the team and acknowledged it was a tough result to take. The coach expressed a lot of bitterness about how the match went, considering they took a 2:0 lead and then allowed six goals. 

For the upcoming game, the team will be without Arturo Calabresi, who will serve a one-game suspension. Additionally, their starting striker, Henrik Meister, suffered an injury in the previous game and should miss the match, along with seven others who will remain sidelined. 

Sassuolo suffered an unexpected relegation in the 2023/24 season but returned to Serie A the following season. It was obvious they are the best team in Serie B, and it is not a surprise they are doing so well this season. To be fair, they had a bad streak in January, losing three in a row, but bounced back with a win over Cremonese in the last round. Still, those losses came against good teams, and we do not think they will be too worried about them. At the moment, they are in 11th place with 26 points - a comfortable nine points away from the danger zone. 

After a 1:0 win over Cremonese, coach Fabio Grosso spoke to the media. He expressed satisfaction with his team's effort and with finally returning to winning ways after several matches without a victory. However, he also admitted that his side left too much space at times, which allowed the opponents to create dangerous situations.
