Pisa enter Tuesday’s Serie A fixture after earning a hard-fought point away to Genoa on Saturday. Mehdi Leris scored his first goal of the season to secure a draw at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium. 

Alberto Gilardino’s team remain in poor form. They have failed to win any of their last seven league games, picking up only three draws since their last success against Cremonese two months ago.

Home results have been the major problem for I Nerazzurri. Pisa have lost five and won only one of their nine league matches at the Arena Garibaldi-Romeo Anconetani. Even more concerning is their lack of attacking quality, with just one goal scored at home all season.

Pisa boss Gillardino will again be without at least three key players this week. Calvin Stengs, Juan Cuadrado and Mateus Lusuardi remain absent with injury issues.

Como head to Pisa in confident mood after claiming successive Serie A wins over the past ten days. Cesc Fabregas’s team produced a standout 3:0 victory at Lecce before edging past Udinese with a 1:0 win on Saturday.

I Lariani have put together an excellent first half of the Serie A campaign, recording eight wins and suffering only three defeats from 17 matches. They sit sixth in the table, eight points behind leaders AC Milan.

Fabregas’s men have also performed well in recent road victories. Como won two of their last four away league fixtures, including last week’s commanding performance at Lecce and a 5:1 win at Torino last month. 

Head coach Fabregas has four expected absentees this week. Alvaro Morata, Edoardo Goldaniga, Assane Diao and Jayden Addai are expected to remain unavailable for the away side.
