- Competition: Superliga
- Date: Friday, 16th May, 2025
- Kickoff: 18:00 UK / 19:00 CEST
- Venue: Right to Dream Park (Farum)
On Friday evening, two teams without a realistic chance of reaching the European spots, Nordsjælland and Aarhus, will face off at Right to Dream Park in Farum.
Last year, Nordsjælland finished 4th, missing the European spots only by one point. This season, it seems they will fail to secure Europe again as they are currently in 5th place with 43 points from 30 rounds. So, there are only two rounds to go, and they are five points away from the desired third place, with a very bad goal difference. So, even with two wins in the two remaining games, teams in front of them (Brondby and Randers FC) need just a point to end Nordsjælland's European hopes.
Aarhus had a very promising first half of the season, where it seemed that a top-three finish was possible. Unfortunately for them, they collapsed in the Championship Group, winning three points in eight rounds. Because of it, they dropped to the last place (6th) in the Championship group and are without a chance of reaching Europe. It seems they are simply not good enough to compete with the best teams in Denmark.
Nordsjælland vs Aarhus pick: Over 2.5 goals
Both teams absolutely collapsed defensively in recent games. Nordsjælland allowed two or more goals in four consecutive games. However, they are doing a very good job on the other end, scoring a total of seven goals (1.75 per game). So, they should do well against struggling Aarhus at home.
Meanwhile, Aarhus lost the last five games 3:1! It is evident they are unable to stop the other team's offense, and we wouldn't be surprised if they allow three goals once again. On the offensive end, they are doing fairly well, scoring at least one goal in the last 22 matches!
Due to a bad defense and solid offense, these teams went over 2.5 goals in the last four (Nordsjælland) and in the last five matches (Aarhus). Considering all the above, we expect a high-scoring game, most likely with both teams scoring.

Nordsjaelland team news
Midfielder Caleb Yirenkyi served his one-game suspension in the previous game against Brondby and will be available. He has been a crucial part of the team in the second part of the season, starting in 12 consecutive games before the suspension. We expect him back in the starting lineup.
Regarding injuries, Prince Amoako and Erik Marxen, who missed the previous games, should remain sidelined.
