Nice return to home comforts after giving their European qualification chances a boost with a sensational 3:1 win against Ligue 1 champions PSG. 

While the Parisiens had their sights set on an unbeaten domestic campaign, a superb display from Les Aiglons secured a sensational win at the Parc des Princes. Morgan Sanson was the unlikely hero, with the defensive midfielder bagging his first two goals of the season in the French capital, to send PSG spinning to their first domestic defeat of the campaign.

Franck Haise's side now find themselves sixth in Ligue 1, but only four points behind second-placed Marseille in a keenly contested fight for Champions League qualification.

A decent home record has seen Nice win seven of their last ten home Ligue 1 games and boosted by their win in Paris, will expect to take care of business again this weekend.

Reims make the trip to the Allianz Riviera in decent form with three wins picked up in their five previous Ligue 1 games. Samba Diawara's side had failed to win each of 15 previous Ligue 1 games before their recent uptick in form. 

Now five points clear of the drop zone, the visitors look to be moving clear of relegation worries, despite a poor away record. Reims lost six and won only two of 12 previous road games.

While Nice are often involved in high-scoring matches - each of their last six games saw BTTS - Reims numbers are much less convincing. Les Rouges et Blancs have seen both teams score in just one of 11 previous Ligue 1 games.

With goal stats proving inconclusive, I'm putting my money on Nice making it three wins in a row this weekend.

A home win is my best bet for Friday's Ligue 1 clash.
