Motor Lublin constantly improved over the years. They went from a fourth-tier team in 2019/20 to a team that finished seventh in the Extraklasa last season. This year, after a terrible start to the season and spending most of the time in the relegation zone, Motor Lublin are starting to gain some momentum. Right now, they are in 12th place with 19 points from 15 matches. Still, they are only two points away from the danger zone and have to keep winning points. 

After a 2:1 win over Cracovia, coach Mateusz Stolarski spoke to the media. He said it was a very close match and that they defended well after taking the lead. The coach eventually said they were more fortunate to secure all three points in a "not breathtaking spectacle."

Legia Warszawa are the most decorated club in Poland with 15 league titles and 21 Cup titles. However, their results have declined in the past few years. Last year, they finished fifth, but have really struggled this year as they are currently in 13th place with 18 points, only one point away from the danger zone. Besides their poor performance in the Ekstraklasa, they have been bad in the Conference League, with just three points in four rounds. Because of their poor performances, the club tried to change the negative momentum by sacking the coach around a month ago. Unfortunately, that did not give any results, at least for now. 

In the previous game against Sparta Prague, striker Antonio Colak suffered an injury and had to leave the field after 43 minutes. For now, he is questionable for the upcoming game, while Jean-Pierre Nsame and Juergen Elitim should remain sidelined with their injuries.
