Up to this point, Morocco remain unbeaten against Congo in six encounters, triumphing in four, one of which was a thumping 6-0 win in the reverse fixture during the ongoing 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Morocco team overview
Morocco is the only African nation to have won all of their matches since the start of the World Cup qualifiers, and they have the chance to become the only side from the continent to finish the group stage with a perfect record if they deliver a thrashing to the rock-bottom team.
During the qualifying campaign, the Atlas Lions showed a perfect balance between solid defense and deadly attack, conceding in only two of their opening seven matches while hitting 21 goals, six of which came against Tuesday’s opponents.
At the moment, Morocco are riding a wave of eight consecutive wins across all competitions and will hope to extend that streak, as they boast a strong head-to-head record against Congo, having beaten them in all but one of their last five encounters.
Coach Walid Regragui is expected to give some young or part-time players a chance, but his main objective remains to finish the group stage with maximum efficiency.

Congo team overview
While the Tuesday hosts are marking their third consecutive appearance at the World Cup, Congo will have to wait for their debut, having established themselves as by far the weakest nation in Group E with just one point from seven qualifying matches.
The lone point came in early September when they drew 1-1 at home against Tanzania, but reality hit hard soon after as Niger handed them a 3-1 defeat in their first October outing, stretching their winless run to seven matches (D3 L4).
A look at their away form paints a worrying picture, as the Red Devils have not celebrated a victory in the opponent's territory since March 2023, enduring a dreadful run of 11 consecutive away matches without a win, seven of which ended in defeat.
The squad called up for the October qualifiers appears notably weakened, as it’s mostly composed of players from the domestic league, while Maccabi Haifa midfielder Ali Mohamed could be in line for a starting role after spending the entire match against Niger on the bench.

Prediction
Morocco’s victory should hardly be up for debate, but we believe they will approach this game with less attacking intensity than in the first meeting, so a comfortable scoreline in favor of the hosts seems to be on the cards. This should be a one-sided affair from start to finish, with Congo unlikely to even imagine, let alone score, a consolation goal, as the Atlas Lions’ backline looks exceptionally solid and we expect them to record a low-scoring shutout victory.
Three Reasons we expect Under 3.5 Goals
- Morocco have conceded only twice in their opening seven World Cup qualifiers.
- Five of Morocco’s seven World Cup qualifying matches have ended under 3.5 goals.
- Congo have failed to score in three of their last five competitive away fixtures.
Main prediction -
Under 3.5 goals
