Liverpool vs Galatasaray prediction 18.03.2026 | Champions League

Before the 2025/26 season started, Liverpool surely expected more. They are on the brink of elimination from the Champions League, while in the Premier League, Arne Slot's team will likely fight for the top four positions until the last round. Also, Liverpool's form is not encouraging, as they have won only in one of their previous four matches. Last weekend, the Reds played 1-1 at home against Tottenham. The visitors came to Anfield in terrible form, so Liverpool surely hoped for more than one point.

Liverpool's midfield, Dominik Szoboszlai, didn't hide his disappointment after a draw in the previous Premier League round. He said, "I don't know what happened. I have nothing to say. In the last minute, again, I don't know how many times this season already. We have to wake up. I feel flat. Alexander Isak, Wataru Endo, Conor Bradley, Stefan Bajcetic, Harvey Davies, Giovanni Leoni, and Rhys Williams are unavailable for Wednesday's tie against Galatasaray.

Galatasaray have another excellent season. They are on course for their fourth straight Turkish Super Lig title, while in the Champions League, Okan Buruk's team is close to reaching the quarterfinals for the first time since the 2012/13 season. Also, Galatasaray are in excellent form, having won their last five matches. In the previous game, they won 3-0 at home against Basaksehir. Buruk's team had problems breaking the deadlock, but they completely dominated after Festy Ebosele's red card and secured another victory. 

Galatasaray's head coach, Okan Buruk, was suspended against Basaksehir, so his assistant, Irfan Saraloglu, led the team. In that game, Galatasaray fully rested some players, while some played fewer than usual. 

Metehan Baltaci and Davinson Sanchez are suspended and will not travel to Liverpool. Galatasaray will also be without Arda Unyay, Renato Nhaga, Gokdeniz Gurpuz, and Can Guner.
