La Liga
Out of the previous 30 meetings between the two teams, Levante only won seven times, while Real Madrid won 19 games. There were four draws, three of which were at the Ciutat de València and last three meetings alone produced 15 goals.
Levante team overview
Levante had to wait five matchdays for their first win of the campaign, but it was worth the wait for their supporters. Los Azulgranas hammered Girona with a 4-0 victory at Montilivi on Saturday afternoon, a result that took them out of the bottom three.
Julián Calero’s men caused the league champions, Barcelona, plenty of problems in their opening home match, losing 3–2, and they also drew 2–2 with Real Betis in their second match. Los Azulgranas will also be boosted by the fact that they avoided defeat in two of their last three encounters with Real Madrid, including one win.
In terms of injuries, the hosts will be unable to call upon the services of centre-back Alan Matturro, who has not played this season due to a hamstring problem.

Real Madrid team overview
Real Madrid have won all of their games so far this season, with victories in La Liga and their Champions League clash with Marseille.
They also dominated their two away games so far, beating Real Oviedo 3-0 and Real Sociedad 2-1, despite losing Dean Huijsen to a red card after half an hour.
Huijsen is set to return on Tuesday after serving a one-match ban, but Los Blancos have three injury concerns: These are Ferland Mendy (thigh), and Antonio Rüdiger and Trent Alexander-Arnold (both hamstring).

Prediction
Boasting five wins from five La Liga games so far this season, not to mention a decent head-to-head record against their opponents, Real Madrid are favourites to win. However, with two goals against both Barcelona and Betis, as well as four against Girona in their last match, the hosts have proven their goal-scoring capabilities, and I expect them to score in what is expected to be an entertaining encounter.
Three reasons we expect at least three goals in this game
- Four of Levante’s five league games so far this season produced over 2.5 goals.
- All two of Real Madrid’s away games so far this season produced over 2.5 goals.
- Five of the last eight meetings between Levante and Real Madrid ended with over 2.5 goals.
Main prediction Levante - Real Madrid
Over 2.5 goals
