After securing a return to the Premier League last season by winning the Championship trophy, Leeds only looks to survive. At the start, the Whites had their issues, but despite poor results, they were consistently above the danger zone throughout the season. But lately, it seemed they found their rhythm and suffered only one defeat in the past eight games across competitions. In the Premier League, they are in 15th place, a comfortable six points away from the danger zone. Also, the Whites have recently secured their place in the FA Cup 1/8 Finals and can undoubtedly be happy with their season thus far.

After a 1:1 draw with Aston Villa, coach Daniel Farke spoke to the media. He said they deserved more than just a point from the game and called his players "warriors". The coach was very happy with the performance, despite allowing a late goal to the Villans. 

After an initial poor start, at least by their standards, Manchester City are undoubtedly on the rise. This season reminds us very much of the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons when Arsenal created a big lead early, but the Citizens eventually lifted the PL trophy. At the moment, the Citizens are in 2nd place - five points behind Arsenal, but with one game played less. 

Earlier this month, the Citizens already secured their place in the EFL Cup Finals and the FA Cup 1/8 Finals, while also securing their place in the Champions League 1/8 Finals. They are generally in very good form, but had problems on the road, and this game against Leeds will likely not be as easy as the odds suggest. 

After a 2:1 win over Newcastle, coach Pep Guardiola spoke to the media. He said it was a massive win given Newcastle's strong form. The coach said they need to rest briefly and prepare for the next match against Leeds.
