After barely escaping relegation from Ligue 1 in the previous two seasons, Le Havre have probably the best campaign in the 21st century, as they are currently nine points above the drop zone. Le Havre played well recently, as they lost only in one of their last five matches. In the most recent outing, Le Havre won 2-1 at home against Strasbourg. The hosts had a much easier task than they expected, as the guests remained with ten players already in the first half.

Le Havre's head coach, Didier Digard, was very satisfied with the victory over Strasbourg, but he also stressed that there is no room for complacency and that the team must stay focused on what lies ahead. He said, "The players are aware that nine points is very little. It can change very quickly. If we were able to do it last year, they think other teams are capable of it."

Le Havre doesn't have big problems with missing players. Only Ayumu Seko, Abdoulaye Toure, and Etienne Youte Kinkoue are unavailable for Sunday's game against Toulouse.
