Inter Miami vs Nashville prediction 18.03.2026 | CONCACAF Champions Cup

Last season, Inter Miami won their first MLS title. They are again probably the best team in the competition, and most pundits expect them to add more silverware later this year. Inter Miami opened the season with a heavy defeat to Los Angeles FC, but they are unbeaten in four matches since then. Javier Mascherano's team in the most recent outing played 0-0 on the road against Charlotte. The teams were pretty even throughout the match, so splitting points seems the fairest outcome. 

Inter Miami didn't win in Charlotte, but the head coach, Javier Mascherano, used that game to rotate the squad and rest ten players for the game against Nashville. Most regular starters didn't play, including Lionel Messi. We should expect Mascherano to field the best possible eleven on Wednesday night. 

Maximiliano Falcon is injured and will not play in the second leg against Nashville. 

Last season was successful for Nashville, too, as they won the US Open Cup trophy, their first title in the club's history. B.J. Callaghan's should be far from the best teams in MLS right now. Still, Nashville started the 2026 season excellently with a 7-0 on aggregate win in the CONCACAF Champions Cup previous round against Atletico Ottawa, while they opened the MLS with impressive ten points in four matches. Last weekend, Callaghan's team won 1-0 on the road against the Columbus Crew. That was another game in which Nashville showed their excellent efficiency and even better defense. 

Nashville's head coach, B.J. Callaghan, also used last weekend's game to rotate the squad and give opportunities to some players who are not regular starters. For Nashville SC, the most important game is the second leg against Inter Miami in mid-week, and we should expect their strongest squad. 

Nashville have almost a full squad available for the upcoming clash, as Reed Baker-Whiting should be the only one injured.
