Veikkausliiga leaders KuPS will be out to maintain their winning form when they take on Ilves at Tammelan Stadion. 

Ilves vs KuPS Betting Tips - Over 2.5 Goals

An in-form KuPS makes the trip to Tampere in search of an eighth successive victory after an impressive 3:1 win at Haka on Saturday. Teenage midfielder Otto Ruoppi added to his recent tally with a fourth goal in five games helping the league leaders extend their superb winning run.

Unbeaten in 11 Veikkasliiga games since the end of last season, KuPS have made a flying start to the new campaign, dropping just two points in their first eight fixtures. Already seven points clear at the top of the division, Jarkko Wiss's side could move 13 points ahead of Ilves should they claim the spoils on Wednesday. 

Three wins picked up in their last four road games will give KuPS plenty of confidence, while they have won on two of their last four visits to this venue.

Recent victories have been high-scoring, with four of their last five matches seeing a minimum of three goals scored. 

Ilves return to action on Wednesday in less than impressive form, with defeats recorded in three of their last four matches, including a 3:1 setback against Inter Turku last weekend.

However, Joonas Rantanen's side are a different animal in home fixtures. Ilves won each of their last ten home league games, while they have lost just one of their last 15 league matches at this venue. 

Goals are usually on the cards when Ilves are in action. Seven of their last eight league games saw over 2.5 goals scored, and that outcome looks likely to repeat itself on Wednesday.

With KuPS flying high, and Ilves dominant in home fixtures, we should see a competitive tussle with plenty of chances at both ends.

Over 2.5 goals is my best bet for Wednesday's Veikkausliiga fixture.
