1st Division action takes place at Hobro Stadium on Thursday evening as struggling Hobro takes on high-flying Hvidovre.

The home side return to First Division business two weeks on from a much-needed win against Aarhus FR while Hvidovre look to extend their unbeaten run after an entertaining draw against Aalborg earlier this month.

Usually a competitive and hard-fought fixture, the visitors arrive as narrow odds-against favourites to claim the points at Hobro Stadium.

Hobro team overview

Hobro come into Thursday´s Betinia Liga matchup with confidence boosted by a vital 2:0  win against Aarhus FR ten days ago. Second-half goals from Lukas Klitten and Marco Bruhn secured victory for Jens Gjesing's side.

HIK had failed to win each of six previous matches, including three successive defeats before their much-needed victory earlier this month.

Goals should be expected in Thursday's Danish First Division contest. Hobro have seen over 2.5 goals scored in nine of their last 11 games while six of their eight previous games also finished with both teams on the scoresheet.

Head coach Gjesing is likely to make a couple of alterations to his first XI this week. Runar Hauge and Marco Bruhn are tipped to earn recalls after impressive substitute appearances against Aarhus.

Hvidovre team overview

Hidovre return to Betinia Liga action after an entertaining 2:2 draw against Aalborg last week. Despite taking a two-goal first-half lead, Martin Retov´s side were forced to settle for a point after Valdemar Møller Damgaard´s late goal rescued a point for the visitors.

The Old Giants have enjoyed a decent run of form, remaining unbeaten in their last seven games but have been unable to turn draws into victories. Four of their last five matches finished deadlocked.

We could see plenty of goals in a potentially open and entertaining Danish First Division contest this week. Four of Hvidovre's last seven games finished with at least four goals scored while six of their eight previous games also delivered in the BTTS market.

Head coach Retov reported no new injury issues after the draw against Aalborg earlier this month. Sebastian Koch could come into contention should the visitors shuffle their pack on Thursday.

Prediction

An entertaining Betinia Liga contest seems likely on Thursday, with both teams likely to get on the scoresheet.

BTTS is my preferred pick, while I also expect a minimum of three goals scored.

Three Reasons Why We Expect BTTS

  1. Hobro have seen BTTS 6 of their last 8 matches
  2. Hvidovre have seen BTTS in 6 of their last 8 matches
  3. Hobro  have seen BTTS 5 of their last 7 matches against Hvidovre
