Haugesund vs Sandefjord prediction 29.09.2025 | Eliteserien

Haugesund were part of the strongest competition in Norway since 2010, but they were terrible this year and will be relegated at the end of the season. Amazingly, Haugesund have collected only six goals in 22 league rounds so far. Toni Korkeakunnas' team is currently on a run of five games without a victory. In the previous match, Haugesund lost 4-1 at home after extra time in the cup against Rosenborg. The home side held the game even for 90 minutes, but the guests ruthlessly exposed their weaknesses in the additional 30 minutes. 

Haugesund have some injury problems ahead of the match against Sandefjord. They will be without injured Vegard Solheim, Martin Samuelson, Runar Espejord, and Anders Bondhus. 

Since Sandefjord returned to the Eliteserien in 2020, they have had problems in most seasons to avoid relegation. This year, Sandefjord have had some excellent periods, but after terrible results in the previous two months, Andreas Tegstrom's team is now only seven points ahead of the drop zone. That should be enough, but Sandefjord have to start picking up points. In the previous seven games, Tegstrom's team have one draw and six defeats. In the last match, they lost 3-0 at home against Brann. The home side had xG of 0.82, but the guests had 1.86, so, unsurprisingly, Sandefjord remained pointless. 

Sandefjord's Martin Gjone got a red card against Brann and will skip the trip to Haugesund. Stian Kristiansen will return to the starting lineup instead of him. Sandefjord will also be without injured Sander Mork, while Marcus Melchior and Filip Loftesnes-Bjune are questionable and their status will be clearer much closer to the kickoff.
