Hamburger SV come into Sunday's Bundesliga contest now unbeaten in five matches after a hard-fought point picked up at Mainz last weekend. Fábio Vieira's second-half goal secured a 1:1 draw for Merlin Polzin's side. 

An excellent run of form in the past month have eased the hosts relegation concerns. SV picked up an excellent 2:2 draw against Bayern Munich, before back-to-back wins against Heidenheim (2:0) and Union Berlin (3:2) earlier this month. 

Polzin's side now sit 11th in the Bundesliga, six points above the drop zone. 

Goals at both ends can usually be relied upon when SV are involved. Only three of their last 12 games did not finish with both teams on the scoresheet. 

Head coach Polzin has four selection issues this weekend. Albert Grønbæk and Alexander Røssing-Lelesiit are ruled out, Albert Sambi Lokonga is a doubt, while Fernando Dickes is also tipped to remain sidelined.

RB Leipzig make the trip to Hamburg after throwing away a two goal lead in their high-stakes clash against Borussia Dortmund last weekend. Fabio Silva's dramatic equaliser - five minutes into stoppage time - rescued a point for BVB. 

Ole Werner's side have not been at their best in 2026. RB failed to win six of nine games played this year, including five of their six most recent fixtures.

Defensive vulnerabilities have led to several high-scoring outcomes for the Leipzig-based side. RB failed to keep a clean sheet in nine of their last 11 matches, including their last six contests.

Head coach Werner has several injury worries to deal with. Assan Ouédraogo, Péter Gulácsi, Kosta Nedeljković and Ayodele Thomas are ruled out with various injury issues, while Xaver Schlager remains doubtful to feature.
