Last season, Grasshoppers barely escaped relegation. This year, they are again terrible, with only eight points after 11 league rounds. The only worse team so far is Winterthur, which have one point less. Grasshoppers had one good stretch of games in September, but in the last three matches, they are pointless. Last weekend, Marco Schallibaum's team lost 3-0 on the road against Lausanne. That was another match in which Grasshoppers offered too little. Now, they will head home against one of the best teams in the competition, Lugano, so the Grasshopper's disastrous run could continue. 

After the second position on the table last season, Lugano are again among the best Swiss teams. Servette is at the top of the table, but Lugano and a few more teams could take that spot from the current leader in the coming weeks. Lugano are playing well with only one defeat in the last ten matches in all competitions. In the previous game, they won 2-0 at home against Young Boys. The guests were creating chances, but the home side was scoring, so Mattia Croci-Torti's team secured another victory.
