Getafe vs Real Madrid Betting Tips - Real Madrid to Win/Under 2.5 Goals
Real Madrid will be desperate to claim victory when they take on Getafe in a vital La Liga contest this week.
Los Merengues endured a difficult past week with a 5:1 aggregate defeat against Arsenal in the UCL prompting intense speculation on the future of both head coach Ancelotti, and his under-performing squad. However, a 93rd minute winner against Athletic Bilbao on Sunday has at least eased the pressure ahead of Wednesday's crucial fixture.
Real have struggled to maintain consistency in recent weeks, although they have managed to pick up victories in both of their last two away La Liga matches. Carlo Ancelotti´s side had failed to win three successive away games before much-needed wins at Villarreal and Alaves in the past month.
The now dethroned European champions have a strong record in this fixture, recording victories in nine of their last 11 encounters. All but two of those games saw under 2.5 goals scored, suggesting we are likely to be in for another tight contest, especially considering the sub-par form of Los Blancos.
Hosts Getafe come into Wednesday's matchup in disappointing form with defeats suffered in three of their last four La Liga games, and in four of their last seven home fixtures.
While José Bordalás´s side are unlikely to fall into the relegation fight in the remaining weeks, a lack of consistency has hindered their progress this season. Currently 12th in the division, the Azulones won five and lost five of their ten previous league matches.
With Real desperate for the points, and Getafe all but safe from relegation, the visitors should hold the greater motivation to claim a hard-fought win on Wednesday.
Under 2.5 goals is expected as Real claim a vital victory in the fight for La Liga glory.
