Fluminense earned their spot at the FIFA World Cup by winning the Copa Libertadores in 2023. However, in Serie A, the popular Big Flu haven't been among the best teams, floating around the middle of the table in the recent couple of seasons. However, this year, they are doing great in all competitions. They easily secured the Copa Libertadores knockout phase, domestic Cup 1/8 Finals, and are in 6th place in Serie A, only four points away from the top spot. However, their performance in the FIFA World Cup was particularly impressive. In the previous round, they knocked out the European gigant and this year's Champions League Finalist - Inter Milan.
Al Hilal invested a lot of money in recent years. While they had some success in recent years, this season hasn't been a success as they have failed to win a single trophy. They exited the AFC Champions League and the King's Cup pretty early and were eight points away from winning the domestic title. So, an overall underwhelming season. However, they have been incredible under Simone Inzaghi in the FIFA Cup World Cup. In the previous round, they eliminated one of the best teams in the world and the bookies's favorite for the title - Manchester City.
Fluminense vs Al Hilal pick: Under 2.5 goals
Fluminense's defense have been incredible in the tournament, keeping a clean sheet in three of the last four games. Because of that defense, they went under 2.5 goals in three of four games in the FIFA Club World Cup - 75%. Looking further back, they had five clean sheets in the last six games across all competitions.
Similarly to Fluminense, Al Hilal were also under 2.5 goals in three of four games in the competition. Yes, that one was a high-scoring one against Manchester City, but we do not expect such a match against Fluminense because the Brazilians will probably try a much more cautious approach.
Considering the importance of the match, both teams' defensive performance thus far, and all the above, we believe that an under 2.5 goals bet is the safest option for this Fifa Club World Cup.
Fluminense team news
A starting left full-back, Rene, received his second yellow card in the previous game against Inter and will serve a one-game suspension. With him out, Gabriel Fuentes might get the opportunity to start.
Defensive midfielder Martinelli suffered an injury in the previous game and had to leave the field after 60 minutes. He will most likely miss the upcoming game, along with Isaque Silva, Otavio, and Riquelme Felipe, who will remain sidelined with their injuries.

Al Hilal team news
Salem Al Dawsari is a new name on the injury list. The midfielder suffered a hamstring injury in the Pachuca game and missed the Manchester City match. According to speculations, he will most likely be out for around a month.
Additionally, the players who missed the previous games should remain sidelined - a backup midfielder, Abdulelah Al Malki, and their best striker, Aleksandar Mitrovic.
