FC Porto vs Nice prediction 27.11.2025 | Europa League

FC Porto are one of the greatest teams in Portugal, but haven't had much success last year, at least by their standards, as they finished third - 11 points behind the top spot. This year, the popular Dragons are doing a fantastic job - currently sitting in the top spot with 31 points from 11 rounds. In the EL, the Dragons are in 14th place with seven points in four rounds. However, we believe they played better than the current number of points suggests. Looking at their remaining schedule, we expect them to move up to the top eight and avoid an extra duel in the 1/16 Finals. 

Central defender Jan Bednarek suffered a knee injury in the Famalicao game and missed the upcoming game in the Taca de Portugal vs Sintrense. He will most likely miss the upcoming game, along with Nehuen Perez, who is out with an ACL injury. On the positive side, Luuk de Jong recovered from his knee injury and played limited minutes in the previous game.

Nice had two really good seasons in Ligue 1, finishing fifth and fourth. Last year, they were super close to reaching the Champions League (main phase), eventually missing it by one point. Still, last year their performance in the EL was atrocious, finishing the competition in 35th out of 36 teams. This year, the popular Eaglets again struggle in the EL as they are one of the only two teams (along with Rangers) without a single point. 

In the Ligue 1, the Eaglets were solid, but after losing three in a row, they dropped to 9th place. So, an overall terrible momentum from the Eaglets, and they have especially struggled on the road. This match vs Porto is an opportunity to change that negative momentum.

After a 5:1 loss vs Marseille in the previous game, coach Franck Haise spoke to the media. He said it was a tough result to take, but also a deserved one. The coach said there were some positives in the first half, but they made too many mistakes, which eventually cost them.
