After narrowly failing to claim Superliga glory last season, FC Midtjylland face their first domestic fixture of the season against OB. 

Thomas Thomasberg's side returns to the MCH Arena in high spirits after an impressive 4:1 friendly win against Slovan Bratislava earlier this week. The Boys of the Moor claimed victories in three of four pre-season warm-up matches, and will now look to take that form into their first competitive runout of the season.

A superb home record proved the basis for FC Midtjylland's strong Superliga performance last season. The hosts claimed victory in all but two of 16 matches at MCH Arena. Despite that impressive record, Thomasberg's men narrowly missed out on the title, finishing one point behind Superliga champions FC Kobenhavn. 

OB make the trip to Herning after sealing an immediate return to the Superliga. Relegated in 2024, the Striped bounced back by finishing top of the 1st Division, earning promotion at the first attempt.

Having lost their first two pre-season friendly fixtures, the Odense-based side bounced back with victories picked up in two of their three most recent bounce contests. 

Still, it would be unwise to back against a Midtjylland side that proved so dominant at MCH Arena last season.
