A huge Bundesliga clash awaits us on Friday night when Heidenheim and Bochum, two teams currently in the bottom three, go head-to-head.
Heidenheim celebrated their first ever Bundesliga campaign last year with an eighth place finish, but this season hasn't gone well. They have managed just two wins this term, with only fellow relegation candidates Holstein Kiel and Bochum recording fewer. Still, Frank Schmidt's side are still in with a chance of staying up, having reduced the gap to safety to just five points with a late win over Stuttgart last time out.
Bochum would have been in the second tier this season had they not beaten Dusseldorf in last year's Bundesliga relegation play-off. The Blues didn't learn their lesson though, as they've gone from bad to worse and are now favourites for relegation this season.
FC Heidenheim vs Bochum Betting Tips: Under 2.5 goals
With relegation on the line for both sides, Friday's game will be very close and I don't expect more than two goals.
Heidenheim have struggled for goals of late, failing to score more than once in their last four league games and only two of those games produced more than two goals.
Bochum are not in the best of scoring form either. The visitors failed to score in two of their last four games, with the last two of those games ending with no more than two goals.
- Best Tip: Under 2.5 goals
- FC Heidenheim vs Bochum prediction: 0-0

FC Heidenheim team news
Heidenheim boss Frank Schmidt is expected to retain most of the side that didn’t only keep VfB Stuttgart quiet for 90 minutes last weekend but also scored the winner late in the game.
Having come off the bench to score the decider in that encounter, Mathias Honsak will be pushing for a start in the final third on Friday.
Budu Zivzivadze is ruled out with outer ligament injuries, but the hosts have no suspended players at the moment.

Bochum team news
Bochum will continue to rely on the services of Myron Boadu who has 17 goals in 16 Bundesliga encounters this season.
The Dutch professional led the line alongside Moritz Broschinski last weekend and things are unlikely to change this week.
Koji Miyosh missed the 1-1 draw with FC Union Berlin last time out due to a torn muscle injury and Friday’s game will come too soon for the midfielder.
