Everton return to home comforts after a remarkable 1:0 win at Manchester United on Monday evening. A bizarre start to the match saw Idrissa Gana Gueye shown a red card for slapping his own teammate Michael Keane after a heated exchange - the first time a Premier League player has been sent off for striking a teammate since 2008. 

Despite going down to ten men, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall´s superb first-half goal proved the difference as David Moye secured his first-ever away victory at Old Trafford.

Moyes's men have proven tough to beat this season, remaining unbeaten in eight of their last 11 games, and now sit 11th in the division, three points ahead of Newcastle, and only three behind fourth-placed Aston Villa. 

Head coach Moyes has a handful of injury issues this weekend. Jarrad Branthwaite, Merlin Röhl and Nathan Patterson, all sidelined through injury while Séamus Coleman is doubtful as he continues to work back towards full fitness. Idrissa Gana Gueye is suspended following his red card at Old Trafford.

Newcastle come into Saturday´s Premier League contest after a bruising Champions League defeat against Marseille on Wednesday. A red-hot Harvey Barnes gave the Magpies a first-half lead, before a quick-fire brace from veteran forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang secured a 2:1 come-from-behind win for the French hosts. 

A miserable run of away form has seen Newcastle lose each of their last four away games, while they remain winless in six Premier League road games this season (D3, L3).Now almost a third of the way into the PL season, the Magpies find themselves labouring in 14th spot, just four points above the relegation zone.

Eddie Howe is likely to make some changes to his selection on Saturday. German forward Nick Woltemade is expected to earn a recall to the Newcastle attack. 

William Osula and Yoane Wissa miss out through injury while Anthony Gordon and Kieran Trippier are doubtful and will need late fitness checks.
