Everton have had several bad seasons, constantly being in the lower part of the league table. This year, the Toffees are playing better and are finally in a position to maybe secure Europe. After 28 rounds, they won 40 points and are three points away from 7th place, which could mean Europe. However, the Toffees are surprisingly bad at home this year and are a team with the biggest difference between points won on the road and at home. In order to secure Europe, they have to start winning games at Hill Dickinson Stadium.The match against struggling Burnley is the perfect opportunity to finally grab a victory and stop a seven-game winless home streak. 

After a 3:2 win over Newcastle, coach David Moyes spoke to the media. He said it was a really good match, with brilliant performances from his players, especially since it came at St. James' Park. The coach singled out goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, saying his save in the stoppage time eventually secured them three points. 

Burnley have constantly moved between the Championship and the Premier League in recent seasons. This year, it seems that Clarets could make another trip to the Championship, as they are in 19th place with just 19 points from 28 rounds. At the moment, they are eight points away from the safe zone and with one game played more than 17th-placed Nottingham. The bookies offer odds of only 1.01-1.05 on them getting relegated! That, on its own, says a lot about their season and their chances of survival.

A part of their terrible results this year is constant injuries. For the upcoming game, they could miss upto seven players with injuries - Zeki Amdouni, Jordan Beyer, Armando Broja, Josh Cullen, Connor Roberts, Mike Tresor Ndayishimiye and Axel Tuanzebe.
