Crystal Palace have been a mid-table team for the past 12 seasons, finishing constantly between 10th and 15th place. However, last season, despite achieving another mid-table finish, the Eagles secured the FA Cup title - their first major trophy ever. This season, the Eagles are looking better and seem like a team that could be in contention for the European spots. After 12 rounds, they are in 5th place with 20 points - just one point away from the Champions League spots. 

After a 2:1 loss against Strasbourg in the Conference League, coach Oliver Glasner spoke to the media. He said it was a tough, unnecessary defeat, blaming their mistakes for it. The coach added that they should have had a 3:1 lead, but instead let Strasbourg back into the game. He eventually said they deserved to lose the match and that they are shifting their focus to the PL. 

Manchester United's collapse is continuing. Last season, they had a disastrous PL finish, ending their season in 15th place, which is unacceptable. They had their chance to save the season somewhat, but lost to Tottenham in the Europa League Final. This season, most of the football experts believed they would bounce back and start playing better. Still, that did not happen as they are in 10th place with 18 points from 12 matches. To be fair, they are only three points away from the Champions League, but they have to be a lot more consistent. The Red Devils have to stop with performances like the one in the last game vs Everton, when they lost 1:0 despite having one player more for almost the entire game.

In the previous game against Everton, Casemiro received his sixth yellow card and will serve his one-game suspension. Besides suspended Casemiro, the team will miss Benjamin Sesko, Harry Maguire, and Matheus Carneiro da Cunha, who should remain sidelined with injuries.
